Common Bond of Need

1Corinthians 15:19
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Human common bond of need is water, which we cannot do without in a day. Come to Jesus for a flowing fountain that gives eternal life; Isaiah 55:1. Jesus possesses within himself everything that is necessary to live the full, rich life.
That Samaritan woman in the book of John, came from a faraway place to draw water from Jacob's well, and to drink from Jacob's well was to thirst again. You too should stop chasing the wind; Isaiah 55:2.
Jesus water quenched thirst completely and permanently. His water in you would become ever-flowing spring of eternal life. That woman interest in Jesus water in the first place was that she no longer would have to make the long walk daily to draw water from Jacob's well. She showed no evidence of a sense of spiritual need. Likewise you, Paul says "if our hope in Christ is good only for this life, we are worse off than anyone else." Be careful how you listen
