Kingdom citizens
Who are the kingdom citizens?
Primarily Jesus described them as "blessed" or "happy." Matt 5:3-10. In Greek version these "blesseds" are used without the verb 'to be.' Therefore, they may be called absolute.
The Greek word is Makarios, it is the word used to denote Cyprus as he Makaria, the happy Isle. This island was said to be so blessed with minerals, fertility, water, and climate as to produce everything necessary for the perfectly happy life. So in effect, by using this word to describe the kingdom citizens, Jesus said that he possesses within himself everything that is necessary to live the full, rich life.
So therefore brethren; you as a Christian must be a blessing to the people around you.
Are you a blessing?
If your answer is negative/no. Then, what is it that makes possible such a life?
In eight terse statements Jesus answered this questions (matt 5:3-10).
*the poor in spirit; those are the Christians that recognized themselves as sinners. Psm 25:11
*the gentle; those are the teachable ones who submit themselves to God as those to be instructed of God. 1John 1:9
*they constantly 'hunger and thirst' after the true righteousness.
*they are merciful; kingdom citizen get inside another's skin so as to see his needs as one's own.
*such are the 'pure in heart.' They are clean, sincere, and without alloy with nothing between the soul and the savior.
*they are 'peace makers.' They make peace between God and man, and between man and man.
*by the world, "be persecuted for righteousness,"
You will be greatly reward in heaven if you faint not, Amen.
