Rock of ages

 Matthew 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

The degree of your obedience to God's commandments would determine your safety in life. 

God is the rock of ages, witch translated as "an unfailing source of strength," if any man could build his life upon this rock, when trouble comes it won't get to him because he has God as his refuge.

Obeying the Lord is like a shield of protection in the day of trouble there is no any other means of protection nor any remedy for protection than to obey the Lord. 

(And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.1 Samuel 15:22 )

 *  WHAT IT MEANS TO OBEY THE LORD

Let's take a look at these two commandments of the Lord, (1) keep the Sabbath day holy, for it is the day of God (2) Paying of tithe.

To the best of my knowledge, 99 percent of christians in the world do not understand what it means to keep the Sabbath day, some churches observe it on the 7th day of the week while some observe it on Sunday. I observed that people keep asking questions about the Sabbath during Sunday school hours times without number and to the best of my knowledge I think they are not satisfied with the answers they got from their teachers. When I noticed this, Holy Spirit made me realized that for every christians a day is not enough to give to their creator, because on this very day many christians stay away from sin but when that day is over they dropped their guards against sin and do whatever they wanted. As a Christian you must keep everyday holy as the day of Lord, because the time we spent on earth is vanity but the one we gave to God is true riches. The same thing is applicable to tithe, paying of tithe is a commandment from God; if you want to be paying tithe make sure you pay it in full, please master the way you receive incomes and always remove the ten percent of it. Paying of tithe will always brings blessing to your life. The money we spent is vanity but the one we gave to God is true riches.
