The keepers of the cross
Psalm 70:4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
Our Lord Jesus Christ paid a great price when He left His position in heaven, came down to this sinful world and sacrifice His precious life to save the world. He demonstrated a great love by given up His life, went to the cross died and resurrected, His blood was shed for the remissions of our sins and the sins of our ancestors. He was beaten, rejected and killed because of you and I.
Unfortunately, many christians do not cherish not appreciate the redemptive work of Christ because of their conduct towards the work of God.
Because of the redemptive work of Christ, the dead came back to life, those that are in bondage gain their freedom, the weak gain back their strength and the lost glory of man in the garden of eden was restored.
David said, "restore into me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." Psalm 51:12. That great king understood what it means to remain in the presence of God.
Sin detached man from God but the redemptive work of Christ carries man to the presence of God.
For any man to remain in the presence such must not forget the hand that took him from sin back to life. If man is not conscious of how he got saved, he may misused his freedom and lose it at the same time.
The redemptive work of Christ is a remarkable one for all christians.
Man should never forget the price that was paid on the cross by that innocent Lamb.
PRAY THIS WEEK
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
