The institute of marriage
1 Corinthians 7:38 So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
Someone shared the following Bible verse on his Facebook page and people started posting their views concerning it, first Corinthians chapter 7 verses 27 and 28 "if you are married, stay married if you are not married, don't try to get married. It isn't wrong to marry, even if you have never been married before. But those who marry will have a lot of trouble, and I want to protect you from this." And the blogger stated above the Bible verse, "the Bible instructed not to marry, if you marry you are on your own" people started attacking Christianity, some says Bible is not real that it was formulated by man, well the truth is that those people do not know the truth neither do they know the power of God.
Jesus called the disciples the salt of the world and He referred to them as the light of the world, apostle Paul was led by the spirit to give an insight to the believers about marriage so that they would not get into trouble or backslide in their journey with God.
The word of God is perfect and there is no complication in the scripture.
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work". 2Timothy 3:16-17
IS IT GOOD TO MARRY?
It isn't wrong to marry, in the beginning God created man and a woman. "That is why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. He becomes like one person with his wife." Matthew 19:5
Marriage is an institution on its own and it is more spiritual than its physical ceremonial activities. That is why apostle Paul was telling the believers to make their choice wisely because marriage may become a stumbling block for a believer who is not mature.
The pharisees wanted to test Jesus and they asked, "is it right for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?" And the Sadducees also asked Jesus a question concerning a woman who marries seven brothers, and their question is, "when God raises people from death, whose wife will this woman be?" Jesus made them understand that marriage is not all about self satisfaction, it is a tool for every believers to reflect God's glory. "Jesus rebukes the Sadducees for being mistaken, stating that at the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but will be like angels in heaven. " Matthew 22:29&30 marry or no marry is not going to affect God, but every genuine born again must sees marriage as a platform to reflect God's glory.
