Victory over death

 Matthew 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

According to the scripture, God instructed Adam and Eve not to touch nor eat fruit from a certain tree in the garden that if they do, they will die. God is not a man that can lie, He always keep His words. When Adam sin against God he entered into darkness. To die is to transit from light to darkness.

Death is the accumulation of forces, authorities, and wicked powers in the spiritual world and sin is the element that powers death in the life of man, that is why the scripture says,  "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12

The reason why God did not want His children to sin is for their own benefit because sin will always activate the power of death over man's life. "Your sin will never affect God." The wages of sin is death and death has no power over the life of God's children.

The reason why Jesus came to the world is to free mankind from the bondage of sin. "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live," John 5:25

Jesus sacrificed His life; He was crucified, died, resurrected and won the battle for you and I, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1corinthians 15:55

No one can defeat the world without having faith in Jesus Christ as the son of God. If you want to overcome death put your faith in Jesus Christ.

If you want to overcome sickness, depression, sadness, poverty, bad dreams, failure, evil spirit, demons, and the problems of this world just accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and you will be free.

PRAY THIS WEEK

Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is your son the one that died for my sin and I accept Him as my Lord and savior, please give me victory over death. Amen.
