Since the days of John

 Matthew 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Before the advent of John the Baptist, there were prophets, and messengers of God Isaiah the prophet of God had spoken about John the Baptist before his arrival, "A voice cries out: 'In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'" isaiah 40:3. John the Baptist was more than a prophet, he was the first man to announce the good news to the people of the world, the forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ, John announce the establishment of God's kingdom on earth, and our Lord Jesus Christ established the kingdom on earth. What made John the Baptist greater than any other man that was born before him according to the word of our Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Matthew chapter 11 verse 12 was the grace and the ability to announce the invisible ingoing project of undeserved grace that God will later use to save man. Since the kingdom had been announced and our Lord Jesus Christ had fulfilled purpose through the redemptive work on the cross and all mankind is now acceptable to God through Christ. And whosoever that takes the kingdom of God as a priority and put the kingdom of God first is greater than John. "John the Baptist, responding to questions about his identity, states, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness: 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as Isaiah the prophet said". john 1:23

The least important position in the kingdom is the position of those that preach the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, and every believers must occupies that position. Anyone that put the kingdom of God first is a friend of God because God really wants to save sinners.

Heavenly Father, I ask for your grace and please let the zeal of your kingdom in my heart started burning like fire. Amen
