The son's authority
Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
In the book of first Corinthians chapter 3 verses 1 to 3 Apostle Paul speaks about the quality of the kingdom citizen. Every born again Christian is a new creature and he possesses within him the quality of God because he is now a child of God and child of God must be spiritual, Apostle Paul referred to the believers in Corinth as babies because they lack the quality of a sonship and they could not be feed with solid food, instead they are to be treated like babies and they can only be fed with milk. Every born again Christians who acts like the people of this world are babies, and they do not have any authority whatsoever.
Any born again Christian who is jealous, argue, fight, backbite, cheat, took bribe, drink alcohol, smoke, disobey, fornicate, lie, and love the mundane things of this world is a baby as far as faith in Christ is concern. Sin is not far from those people and they often asks for forgiveness; God will forgive them because of the gift of salvation but He will never commit any kingdom project into their hands and they won't have any authority whatsoever.
Growth is a must in the kingdom. Every born again Christian must grow from baby Christian into sonship in order to function in the fullness of God's power.
Fasting and prayer is essential, but growth is more important. If you refused to grow in God, fasting and prayer may became a stumbling block for you in the kingdom.
You must learn from Christ Jesus; the author and the finisher of our faith and with the help of the Holy Ghost you will grow into sonship in order to possess the keys into the kingdom of heaven and authority will become a byproduct.
PRAY THIS WEEK
Heavenly Father, please make me grow in you, give me the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Amen
