The kingdom message 2 (deep roots)

 Matthew 13:5-6  Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

John the Baptist was sent to announce the kingdom of God. Many people gave up their sins when they heard his message about the kingdom of God, and he baptized them with water. But he explained to them that someone is coming that will baptize with Holy Ghost and with fire; John was referring to Jesus Christ, Jesus is the great teacher that teaches the kingdom of God in details, He Himself is the message and anyone who wants to have eternal life must have full knowledge about Christ and such must have deep roots in Christ Jesus.

It is easier for man to fall when darkness comes but someone who has deep roots in Christ will always overcome darkness. "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" John 8:12

Devil knows how to mislead people, many great men has been misled by the trick or the devil but those who has deep roots in Christ Jesus will never fall into devil's traps. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Because of the pleasure of life many had had covenant with the devil in exchange of their soul because they refused to grow in Christ, those people believes that they may have life in the devil; they think that through sacrifices they may live long but "he who has no life cannot give it," devil has no life to offer, Jesus is the resurrection and the life. "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11:25

Heavenly Father, please give me grace to grow deeper in Christ Jesus. Amen
