Grace Advantage

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Grace is the gift of underserved favor of God. It is the divine assistance that helps people overcome temptation and make them grow in the spirit. This grace can be traced back to the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross.

Jesus was hated and rejected; His life was filled with sorrow and terrible suffering because of the sin that you and I committed. He suffered and endured great pain for us. He was wounded and crushed because of our sins; by taking our punishment, He made us completely well. His blood was used as an atonement for the sin that the first man Adam committed committed, the sin that led all mankind into the trap of death. Those are the terrible things that Jesus went through to saved you and I.

He gave us grace to be accepted to God, so through grace you are free and you are a new creature. Mind you, Jesus did not destroyed the law, and He did not encourage sinners, and He did not legalized sin. Jesus is not a friend of sinners but He is the savior, He came to save sinners and to set man free from the bondage of sin, He did not encourage sin but He came to eradicate sin.

So if you say, you are saved because of grace you are correct, if you say, you are a new creature by grace you are correct, if you say, you are rich by grace, you are absolutely correct. But if you say, by grace you can cheat, backbite, steal, fornicate, commit adultery, take bribe, and do all sorts of evil acts, and nothing will happen to you, you are a joker. A new creature is new because of the Spirit of God that is abide with him, if you sin against the Holy Spirit and you think that grace will speak for you, then you are not wise.

Believers must stay away from anything that can robbed them the underserved grace of God.
