Genuine Repentance
Joel 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
David said, , "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart..." No man can please God by acting in a certain way. God is unique and stand out, He is not like other gods that can be fool or a mere spirit being that can get confused.
God is our creator, but sin had made us His enemy. When God created us, we are as holy as He is but when man obeyed the devil, he became like the devil and he became his servant indirectly, "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Romans 6:16
Although, the devil had successfully colonized man and his nature had been tampered with, his soul is darkened because he had been living in darkness since the day he had rebel in the garden of Eden. It cost God nothing to save man from death, which He has done through by the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross. But God wants to proof to the devil that man was created in His likeness, which means every man has God's nature within them. It is called 'inner man.'
No matter how sinful a man can be, if he can genuinely reject the devil and his evil works and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior, such will be acceptable to God on the record of what Jesus did on the cross and the nature of God within him will become active, and the more he yields to God the more powerful tool he becomes in the hands of God and the devil won't be able to do anything about it because the price had been paid once and for all.
If only you can turn back to God genuinely and make peace with your creator, you will be free from evil and the wicked spirits that kept tormenting your life.
I pray that the power of God like fire will destroyed anything that is hindering you from making peace with God. So that you can have peace in abundant in Jesus mighty name Amen.
