Stay awake

 1 Kings 3:20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

Being a follower of Christ is a responsibility, you must know that your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour.

For you to stay awake is an advantage for you; you are not doing God any favour for being active, it is for you own good. If God notice that you are like a lukewarm who happens to be unstable, God may not pay attention to you. “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." Revelation 3:15-16

It is written in the scripture that Jesus prayed often and He Himself confirmed it that He will do the work of the Father when it is day, because when night comes no one will be able to work.

The reason why you must be awake is one; so that the devil will not influence your life or attack your Christian life in any way whatsoever. And secondly; you must stay awake in order to fulfill purpose in life. If you call yourself a Christian and your prayer life is cold, then you will not be able to do the will of God because you won't be able to connect with the Father for instructions. And as a born again Christian, winning souls into the kingdom is a must and you must put it first in all your activities in life. I pray that you will receive grace to stay awake, and you will be useful for God in Jesus mighty name Amen.
