The role of the parents in the kingdom

 Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

God instructed the children to obey their father and mother because He has allocated a role for the parents to play in the kingdom development.

Any child who obeys his/her parents is doing the will of God. But any child that disobeyed his/her parents sin against God.

Any parents that failed to lead their children to God and failed to show them the way of God has already sinned against their creator.

The primary assignment of every parents is to show their children the way of God.

A woman said to Jesus, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you."

She said that because it is obvious that Mary had fulfilled purpose, she had raised child Jesus well and she has showed Him the way of God.

Many parents had neglect their duty for pleasure of life, they do not have time for their children, and they assumed that their very assignment is to give birth so that people will refer to them as parents, many don't even know that to become a parent is a responsibility; you must offer your child to God as a living sacrifice the way Hannah did, if you really want good for the child.

Evil kept spreading like a wildfire in the harmattan because parents had failed to carry-out their duty and they kept blaming the devil for their ignorance.

We are the salt of the world. Christians must teach their children the truth. If we want peace to reign in the society.

PRAY THIS WEEK

Heavenly Father, I pray for capacity, knowledge, and wisdom to train my children well. Give me grace to teach them the truth of your word in Jesus mighty name. Amen
