A Worthwhile Christian

 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Gold is valuable. But it passes through fire before it becomes something of value.

The Christianity journey is far beyond the physical occurrences.

One money, during the Sunday school hour, someone asked a question, "if I go out on evangelism and someone ask me, if our Jesus can take away all his problems from him, what should I tell him?" 

In summary, what the brother was trying to say is that if you are in Christ can you still have problems. When you are in Christ, you are a new creature and no evil shall before you.

Does that means that challenges will not come? No, but no weapon fashioned against you will prosper and no evil words spoken against you shall come to pass, but temptation will come so that your faith in God will be tested.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil and He also passed through fire to fulfill God's purpose and the Bible recorded that He seated at the right hand of God.

Every promotion comes with a price, if you don't want to be tempted as a Christian you may not be promoted in the kingdom.

Our God is faithful and He always keep promises, no matter what you are passing through as a Christian God is right behind you, do not lose your faith in God, that is the only weapon you need to survive, "

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

Our Lord Jesus Christ instructed us not to be afraid of temptation or tribulation because He had already fought the battle and He had won. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

For you to become a worthwhile Christian, your faith must be tested the way gold was refined in the fire before it become something valuable. When you face your challenges by faith and refused to run from it or you refused to take shortcut like others, you will be praised and get promoted when the time is right.

Do not lose hope in God. Walk by faith and keep on praying. Whatever the devil may throw at you are not relevant as long as God is concern. Never give room to the devil, use the challenges of life to get promotion in the kingdom.

PRAY THIS WEEK 

Pray that God should give you grace to stand in the midst of challenges. Also pray for the help of the Holy Ghost.
