Christ The Solid Rock

 Matthew 7:25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Jesus is the very stone that the builder tossed aside, He has now become the most important stone.

Christ is the solid rock that can never be moved.

The psalmist said, some people trust the power of chariots or horses but we trust you, LORD God." Psalm 20:7

Jesus is the only solid rock that can make you stand, do not trust the power of wealth, don't trust the power of idols; the power of wealth will fail, and dead gods do not have any power at all Jesus is the only king that can save you; the only pillar you can rely on, that will never fail.

It is written in the scripture that the wages of sin is death; the source of every problems in life is sin, and every problems has connections with death and every problems can leads to death, but anyone who has Christ in him has overcome death.

Jesus said to Simon, "I will call you peter, on this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it."

Because of the sin that the first man committed in the garden of Eden, it is natural for problems to poured like rain, and to flooded like rivers, it is normal for troubles to blow like winds, but those who had made Christ their savior we always stand; it may seems as if they will not survive, it may seems as if problems will swallow them, it may seems as if they will not see tomorrow but because Christ Jesus is their rock, they will never fall. But those who put their trust in something worthless will be worthless.

Let Christ Jesus be your only source of hope and you will be glad indeed.

Hymn

"My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;

No merit of my own I claim,

But wholly lean on Jesus' name

Chorus:

On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand.

When long appears my toilsome race,

I rest on His unchanging grace;

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, and blood,

Support me in the whelming flood;

When every earthly prop gives way,

He then is all my hope and stay.

When the last trumpet's voice shall sound,

Oh may I then in Him be found.

Robbed in His righteousness alone,

Faultness to stand before the throne.

Amen."
