Idol Worship

 Isaiah 42:17  They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

"Do not worship any god except me. Do not make idols that look like anything in the sky or on earth or in the ocean under the earth. Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love."

The above statement is an instruction from God not to the Israelites alone but to all 'seed of Israel's chosen race; those who ransomed from the fall, the categories of people that the innocent Lamb died on the cross for their sake. Those are the people that God demands their love, the jealousy of God is with them and the love of God like a garment is upon their lives. These category of people must not worship nor bow for any gods or idols both in the sky, on earth or underneath the earth because they had been bought by the precious blood of Jesus into the family of God and they no longer belongs to the devil and non of them is a slave of sin; they are members of the royal family of the most high. That is why it is forbidden of them to worship worthless gods. Any members of God's family who worship idols or bow for gods is a bastard and a slave of sin. "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever." John 8:35

If you are a Christian and you still worship other gods except God or you have idols that you bow for or you depends on any power that we cannot find in God, then you are a bastard and you don't belongs to God; calling the name of Jesus and taking part in evil activities proves your stupidity and the end will justify the means.

"He who depends on something worthless will be worthless."

PRAY THIS WEEK 

Ask God to forgive your sins, and promise Him that you will not worship any other gods except Him. Beg Him to cover you with His mercy and favor in Jesus mighty name Amen.
