The Righteousness Of The Righteous

Ezekiel 33:12  Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

"Can anything good come from Nazareth?"
Who are the righteous?
Who is good?
The reflection of the incident that took place in the garden of Eden concerning the act of man against God's instructions was recorded in the book of Isaiah chapter 64 verse 6, "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away."
The nature of man had been affected by sin, and there is no amount of good that any man can do that will make him acceptable to God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ considered Himself to be a son of man when He was on earth, that is why He accused the man that called Him good. Because no man is good, "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Matthew 19:17
Don't think that what you considered to be good will give you ticket to the life eternal. There is no amount of good that you do that will make you acceptable to God unless you have the life of God in Christ Jesus; the old nature will always makes you think of mundane things because of your desires and it will always makes you walk against the commandments of God but the life of God that you received in Christ Jesus will always makes you do the will of God.
You cannot please the LORD by trying to be good; no man is perfect, the old nature will never be perfect; you must be born again if you want to reign with Christ in the life to come, the life eternal.
