Biblical Dressing

 Isaiah 3:16  Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:


It is compulsory for me to dress in a certain way, because I'm a Christian? Yes, you are now a new creature and you must dress to honor your Father in heaven.

The Bible's guidance on dressing emphasizes modesty, avoiding excessive adornment, and dressing in a manner distinct to once gender. "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God." Deuteronomy 22:5

When God created man His glory was upon him. Adam and Eve were naked when they eat from the tree of good and evil.

The glory of God left man when he eat the forbidden fruit, that is why he needed clothes to cover his nakedness. The innocent Lamb had been sacrificed for man's sin, those who have the life of Christ can mirror God's glory through their dressing.

Clothing should reflect inner character and a focus on good deeds rather than expensive or immodest external appearance. Biblical dressing is about respecting God and not drawing attention to one's body, but rather, projecting God's glory.

Our Lord Jesus Christ referred to the Christians as the salt of the world, but He also said, "if salt no longer tastes like salt, how can it make food salty?

If the way you dress as a Christian is not preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, how can you make friends for Christ?

You can't dress like harlots and say you want to preach to a smoker about Jesus.

Everything about you must projects God's glory if you truly love Christ.

Your mode of dress must tell the people of the world about the goodness of God.

PRAY THIS WEEK 

Heavenly Father please cover me with your glory. Holy Spirit please teach me how to dress according to the standard of the kingdom in Jesus mighty name. Amen
