The Way Of Sacrifice

 John 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

The only way to the life eternal is the way of sacrifice.

Our Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed His life and His blood was shed for the remission of man's sin. His life proves to us that this life has nothing good to offer. His life drew pattern for all mankind to follow, His lifestyle is the best standard for all who wish to have eternal life to copy; devil came to Jesus Christ and offered Him the riches of the world, but Jesus told the crowd of people that it profit nothing to gain the whole world and loses one's soul. It is not recorded in the scripture that Jesus runs for any political office, neither did He gather wealth, nor desire the mundane things of life; this alone is a message that tells us that this condemned world has nothing good to offer but for you to enter into the life eternal you must sacrifice this life for it; if you love this life, you will lose eternal life.

The innocent Lamb had been sacrificed once and for all, there is no need for any other sacrifices; Jesus died to save your soul from death, and God will accept you because of the finished work of Christ on the cross, but for you to reign with Christ in the life to come, 'the life eternal' you must follow the steps of your savior. You must sacrifice this life of yours in order to have eternal life.

When you pray for someone who wish you bad or someone who has done something bad to you, what you did is called sacrifice.

As a man , you are the head of family, if your wife offended you, and she refused to apologize to you, you must forgive her not just because of anything but because you want to be like your Father in heaven who make it rain on both the good and the bad. When you let go of the past; it is called sacrifice. You will have to sacrifice a lot, if you really want eternal life. 

This is what our Lord Jesus Christ understood and He sacrificed everything; right now, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus sacrificed everything to glorifies the Father, and He said, "After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you." John 17:1
